My article, “Learning folk traditions,” appeared in Shoals Magazine in 2009. This article is a feature on the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina.

I have an upcoming article scheduled to be in the next issue of Shoals Woman. It should be delivered inside the Times Daily newspaper in Florence, Alabama, on the last Wednesday in February. The magazine will also be available around town in various places.
ABOUT MARIA CAMP
MARIA CAMP was born on December 29, 1979, in Florence, Alabama. She enjoys reading, writing and listening to and playing music.
She graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in Journalism. She has worked as, among other jobs, a tutor, camp counselor, teacher and freelance writer.
She is in charge of Shoals Vegetarian Fellowship which meets monthly at the Florence library.
She is also a member of the Roundtable, the group which plans the Renaissance Faire activities each year.
